Starmade usd1/3/2023 ![]() I've looked at quite a few of the stations on StarMade Dock and I still haven't found one that will work, so I'll have to go custom. If the station just can't fit my ship I have plenty of shuttlecraft to make it work. Sometimes even that's not good enough without a 50m tube on the station. My ship is a bit of a wonky shape that doesn't lend itself well to surface docking, so docking arms are a necessity. I never really got the hate for necrobumps (and only 11 days old in a not-very-active subreddit) as long as it's relevant, and yours certainly is!Īre both the arms on "stage right", for lack of a better term? Does that create any issues if both ships have the arms extended while they try to dock? I suppose that's still avoidable via logic so that only one of the hidden panels can be open at once. Hey that's great! I don't exactly monitor the thread, but I do still get the orangereds. I hope this gives you some inspiration of your own. I even plan on making sure my stations are equipped with Docking Arms to allow ships to dock with them no problem as well. Other than that, the system works great, and as long as I am smart with where I put this docking system, I can dock any sized ship to each other with no issues. It's gotten better since I've taken these pictures, but you can still see the panels. The lighting engine is a bit wonky, so you can see the panels that will open up revealing the arms and ports right now. I've included some pictures to give an idea of what I'm talking about.Ĭompletely Docked (This was a proof of concept, and I've since made the Arms longer)ĭocking Arm Controls including a detach failsafe The Docking Arm isn't the one actually doing the docking, however things can dock to it just fine. If one ship wants to dock to another, one would have to extend their docking arm, and the other ship would dock to the other using their docking port. This Docking Arm/Port system will be located on both Starboard and Port sides of the ship. Each ship will have an extendable Docking Arm, and a Docking Port located right next to each other. Until I came up with the idea of having a joint system. So the idea of having several ships with their own docking arm docking with each other was a pipe dream. The problem I was running into, as many have already stated, is that a docked entity (the docking arm in this case) can't dock onto another entity. I also wanted to try coming up with a hidden, extendable arm docking system for all my ships. aims to make these medium-term budget targets binding," he said in comments to the Handelsblatt newspaper published on Thursday.Ī document seen by Reuters that summarises Berlin's proposals also outlined the importance of continued investment for growth and climate goals, but said this made it all the more necessary to improve the state of public finances.I know this thread is a bit dated, so I'm not sure if OP is watching it anymore, but perhaps my solution will interest you. The existing EU rules limit new debt to 3% of economic output and total debt to 60%, but these remain suspended because of the pandemic.įinance Minister Christian Lindner has said EU member states should in principle keep their annual structural deficit below 0.5% of economic output or at least move towards that target. The German government aims to take a leading role in discussions on reforming the 27-member bloc's debt rules, pointing to recommendations by the International Monetary Fund, the OECD and the European Commission to rein in spending. The goal is to reduce the deficits that rose sharply during the coronavirus pandemic, while also building buffers to protect against future crises, the source said, adding: "Debt cannot be the solution to all problems". The rules must be more clearly defined instead of setting unattainable goals that are open to interpretation, a government source said in Berlin. BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany wants European Union rules on member states' debt to be enforced more rigorously, government sources said on Friday, setting out reforms sought by Berlin. ![]()
